Parametric Technology Corporation is just one of those companies we all love to hate.  They tried for a decade or so to become the Microsoft of Computer Aided Design, and if you believe their marketing, I have some island property in Florida I'd like to sell you.  They have a pretty good product that does a few things really well, but does the end-to-end solution fairly poorly.

Here's a particularly funny picture from Computer-Aided Engineering magazine (January 1999 issue) talking about the ability to "capture human contours" using Pro-E.  Whatever.
